Susan Alameda AADCP Treasurer

Susan Alameda
AADCP Treasurer

I have had the privilege of working in the field of behavioral health and criminal justice for over 18 years and during this time I have weaved my passion for at risk youth and families into my career aspirations as a social worker. In 2011 I joined the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), Adult Probation Services Division as the Treatment Services Specialist and State Drug Court Coordinator which has afforded me the opportunity to learn a great deal more about youth, adults and whole families struggling with drug and alcohol addictions, serious mental illness and trauma. In 2012 I was introduced to the Arizona Association of Drug Court Professionals (AADCP) where I quickly became involved in state wide change as a member of AADCP and subsequently served on the Board of Directors as the treasurer. The mission and vision of AADCP align very well with my life-long passion to serve at-risk populations to restore lives, families and communities. The work that AADCP does is critical to fulfilling the strategic plan of our State Supreme Court by offering top quality training and skills building to over 400 professionals on an annual basis where participants learn of the latest trends in problem solving courts, the latest research and evidence based practices while also promoting long term successful recovery for the population we serve.
